This group is intended for those members who like to regularly meet with others for a sociable short walk of about 2 to 2.75 miles along flat prepared paths avoiding if possible stiles, steep hills and other obstacles.

Once a month on the first Tuesday of the month a walk will start at 10.00am at one of five locations, Acton Park, Alyn Waters Llay, Alyn Waters Gwersyllt, Ty Mawr Country Park or Erddig Park on a rotational basis.

We will meet in the car park at the location.

Confirmation for each walk will be sent about a week before. A schedule of the current walks can be viewed by clicking the "Walks 2025" tab on the right of the screen.

Please Note:

All walks are at the members own risk and they should decide if the walks are suitable for them to undertake. If you are unsure contact the Group Leader.

U3A only provides 3^rd Party Insurance.

Members should always take into account the weather conditions and wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the conditions.

For safety reasons only 3 dogs will be allowed on the walks and must be kept under control at all times by their owners who will be responsible for any accidents or incidents caused by their dogs.

Any member who decides during the walk to leave the group and continue on their own will then not be part of the group and do so entirely outside the control of Wrexham U3A. Any member taking this option must advise the Group Leader that they are doing so.

Members are expected to carry with them an emergency contact number just in case there is not a mobile connection to the Wrexham U3A website.

Also, any member who has a medical condition that the Group Leader should be aware of please bring it to their attention. This is a voluntary request but it may help if the member is involved in an emergency situation. If necessary, in an emergency a 999 call will be made subject to a mobile or telephone connection being available.

If any hazards have been identified for the specific walk these will be brought to your attention. But sometimes things happen that cause a hazard which was not there previously so always be aware of your surroundings.

REMEMBER TO TAKE CARE AND KEEP SAFE AT ALL TIMES AND ALSO LOOK OUT FOR OTHER MEMBERS OF THE GROUP DURING THE WALK.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO DO SO AS THE GROUP LEADER CANNOT BE EXPECTED TO KEEP AN EYE ON EVERYTHING DURING THE WALK.
