Wrexham u3a 20th Anniversary 2006-2026
Twenty years ago in February, Wrexham u3a held their first meeting to officially become a recognised part of the u3a wider community.

Wrexham u3a Committee invites you to celebrate this auspicious occasion by joining us on Tuesday 17th February 2026 at the Memorial Hall at 2pm. Derrick Gwilliam, the first Chair, will lead the toast to another successful decade of Wrexham u3a.

We will also welcome Hilary Jones (North Wales Network Chair) and Roz Benney (contributor to Walks in Wrexham) to talk about their respective experiences with the u3a and Wrexham.
 
Please join us for wine and cake by booking onto the event. You will get an email invite in early Febuary.


The u3a is open to all people in the 'third age'. This is not a particular age but rather the period in your life when you are no longer in full-time employment and have time to pursue interests for their own sake. No qualifications are needed or sought. Enjoyment is the prime motive.

You can join us in January for just £15 and keep membership right through to 30th April 2027.  So over 15 months before renewal in April 2027.

If you have retired, found yourself with more leisure time or recently moved to this area why not Join Us? It is an excellent way to explore the area, make new friends and extend your range of interests. You can join  in u3a Trust activities here.

Our Monthly Meetings feature a variety of speakers. They are held at the Wrexham Memorial Hall, on the third Tuesday of each month - the only exception being August when we plan a special event and December. Doors are open at 1.30pm for a 2pm start, and are free for members. Committee members are present to answer queries.

We have over 400 members and more than 50 Groups covering a wide range of interests. See Activities menu for some of our social, physical and educational activities. Members can join our Events, which include Summer Lunch, Treasure Hunt and Christmas Lunch. Our Day Trips are open for all members to join.
