The u3a is open to all people in the 'third age'. This is not a particular age but rather the period in your life when you are no longer in full-time employment and have time to pursue interests for their own sake. No qualifications are needed or sought. Enjoyment is the prime motive.
You can join us in January for just £15 and keep membership right through to 30th April 2027.  So over 15 months before renewal in April 2027.

If you have retired, found yourself with more leisure time or recently moved to this area why not Join Us? It is an excellent way to explore the area, make new friends and extend your range of interests.

Our Monthly Meetings feature a variety of speakers. They are held at the Wrexham Memorial Hall, on the third Tuesday of each month - the only exception being August when we plan a special event and December. Doors are open at 1.30pm for a 2pm start, and are free for members. Committee members are present to answer queries.

We have over 400 members and more than 50 Groups covering a wide range of interests. See Activities menu for some of our social, physical and educational activities. Members can join our Events, which include Summer Lunch, Treasure Hunt and Christmas Lunch. Our Day Trips are open for all members to join.

Notification of our AGM in March 2026.  Details on our Website, Documents area.

Next year we will be celebrating our 20th Anniversary with a variety of events and we would like to assemble photographs for a Photography Exhibition as part of the celebrations.

Members are invited to submit photographs that encapsulate everything you enjoy about Wrexham, its surrounding area, or the u3a under the title of: Why Wrexham? My Wrexham

Whether you are an experienced or amateur photographer or just a happy snapper using a mobile phone camera, please send in photos illustrating your Wrexham to Linda Wilson (‘Contact member’ on the website)

Please include: your name; the title of your photograph and where the photo was taken

Closing date: Sunday 18th January 2026



How to Join & Login

You can join our u3a for £15 per year. When you join Wrexham U3a you will receive a password and a Membership number by email. Please check this email is not in your Spam/Junk folder. 

Please keep a note of your password ,but if not click "Information" menu and "Forgot password". We will email you a temporary password which you can change to a sensible one you want.

You need to click "login" and key in your member number in the first box, then this password in the second box. If you click the tiny "Eye" icon by login you can check the password is correct. Then click "login" again.

You will now be using our “Members only” website where you can join in our Groups and Activities.

If you click Menu "Information" and click "Beginners Guide" you can read how to change the password to something you like. Only needs 5 characters or more, but please write it down and keep it where you can find it in future.





About our U3a

As a Member you can choose from around 50 groups to join. Also we arrange events like Summer Lunches, Treasure Hunt, Christmas Lunches. There are also Theatre Trips and Day Trips open to all members.

We hold Members Meetings most months at Wrexham Memorial Hall. You will get an email each month with details on this. Free for all Members.

To see our Groups click "Activities" menu and "Groups"

To join a group, find the group that you wish to join and then click "Apply to Join Group OR Join Waiting List" on the right. Finally click the Green "Confirm" button. You will be emailed by the group leader who will inform you about your membership of the group.

We request renewals at £15, by email from April 1st each year and your membership expires next year on April 30th. Please wait for this email and not use "join us" as a new member, as we already have your details.

When you have Logged in with your Member Number and password you can find "Contact-Member" on the “Information” top menu.

If you want help or advice about your Membership or Groups, then Login and in Personal Menu click Contact-Member and type “MEM” in the box to email our Membership Secretary

If you would like our help with the Website or setting up a password. Login and in Personal Menu click "Contact Member." just type “WEB" in the box to email our Web Team.

To contact other Committee or Members -Login and in Personal Menu choose "Contact-Member.” Just type part of the name and choose the members name from the drop-down list. They will respond via email.
To enquire about our u3a just use Personal Menu, "Contact-Member" and type "MEM” in the box.
